Why I Am Building This Website
On my 60th birthday (March 11, 2010), I decided to research and document my father's life. Realizing that what I would learn and remember during the journey would be important to other members of my family and worthy of sharing, I decided to build this website. I also wanted to have a medium to share my growing collection of Creek Chub Bait Company fishing lures and vintage fishing tackle.
I don't have a particular roadmap for doing the research and will let the design of the website evolve as I go down the road. I will keep hard copies of what I find in a special scrapbook, but plan to get all of that content posted here for everyone to enjoy.
My brother Randy has given me alot of information to get me started, and for my 60th birthday Randy gave me some of my dad's things and several special photographs that I will be posting soon. I called Randy and thanked him, which is the first time I have spoken to him in years. Maybe that is the reason I am building this website; to reconnect some dots in my life.
Some dots that I have been connecting in the last few years are the dots between markers in Florida Bay via Islamorada and Flamingo. I've gotten to know the waters pretty well thanks to my friend Captain Paul Hunt and my best fishing buddy and Navigator, Andrew Williams. Here we are in Florida Bay on my boat The Lip Ripper, chasing down the trout.
